Mastering Online Selling With Your Blog

Sometimes, the content that triggers sales the most has nothing to do with product descriptions or “buy now” buttons. Regular, quality blog posts are a great way to build trust, showcase your expertise, and establish rapport with prospective customers. Here are the simple reasons why you should be blogging on your eCommerce site:

Research shows that content-rich sites tend to rank higher with search engines than those without. Blog posts also help you build links back to your website when other websites want to repost them. Quality blog posts can drive traffic and conversions.

Customers want to get to know you. A blog is a great way to show them who you are. They’ll read your posts, click through to other pages of your site, and start building that trust. Blogging can help increase conversions by sharing information that customers want or need to solve their problems.

Recently, I was trying to decide which supplier I should use when buying some new peripherals for my Mac. As I reviewed websites, the ones I naturally gravitated towards were those that had blogs with useful information. If a company’s blog had well-written and engaging content about their products, it made me more comfortable with deciding to buy from them.

The fact is I want to be buying from someone who knows what I’m buying and why I’m buying it. And if the company’s website has that information, I naturally trust them more.

Here are a few tips for getting started with blogging:

First… When you blog about your products, think of yourself as a product ambassador who is going to solve problems and answer questions . You can do this by posting relevant hints, tips and reviews.

My advice for product-based blogs is to make sure your content addresses the pain points of users. You want to make sure you give your customers the information they need to solve their problems.

This way, when people search for products like yours, they’ll have a better idea of what’s available if they visit your site first.

Once you have a strong stable of content on your blog you can then focus on leading people towards it on social media.

And we all know social media is a great way to drive traffic. So, if you can grow your social media following and get them engaged with your brand, they’ll be more likely to visit your site in the future.

And it doesn’t have to be hard. You just have to find ways to make people want to talk about you online.

So, start writing those reviews, your hints and tips and then people will start talking about you.

A great place to start is with your current social media contacts. You can ask for their honest opinions on products they’ve received or purchased and then post your results up on your blog. That way, others can benefit from their experience .

Introduce them to each other and let the conversations happen organically on your communities, where you interact with your customers.

Hope this helps! Keep up the great work!
